Anyone who has an interest in helping others can find a place on our team. If you love the outdoors, you are sure to find something to interest you. If you prefer you can just help out with the many administrative functions in the office or in the field. We also except junior members so you can make it a family activity!

You can specialize in things such as: Cave Rescue, Water Rescue, Ice Rescue, Rope and High Angle Rescue, Man Tracking, K-9 SAR, and more.

Donations

Blue Mountain Search and Rescue is a 100% volunteer not for profit organization. We count on donations and fund-raisers to finance our operations. We are a 501 (c)(3) Corporation therefore, all donations are tax deductible.

Directions

From Points SOUTH & Turnpike

476 to Lehigh Valley Exit-78 West to Rt. 100 North to Rt. 309 North. Follow about 7 miles to the top of the mountain. On the left you will see Blue Mt. Summit Bed and Breakfast. Continue on Rt. 309 North for 2 miles. Make a left onto Blue Mountain Drive. Travel 1.2 miles to Rattlesnake Lane, turn left onto gravel driveway.

From Points NORTH & EAST

10 miles South of Tamaqua on Rt. 309, � of a mile South of Rt. 895. Make your 2nd right hand turn (after Rt. 895) Onto Blue Mountain Drive. Travel 1.2 miles to Rattlesnake Lane, turn left onto gravel driveway.

From Points WEST

Rt. 61 to Rt. 895 East to Rt. 309 South. Make your 2nd right hand turn onto Blue Mountain Drive. Travel 1.2 miles to Rattlesnake Lane, turn left onto gravel driveway.
